Things you must know in outdoor sports.

The purpose of hiking is to feel the nature, exercise and temper the will, but Brother Frame has to solemnly remind everyone here: "Protecting yourself from harm is also a major prerequisite for such activities, remember to remember."

Gloves: Gloves are essential equipment for mountain climbing. On some very steep slopes that need to be climbed, without gloves, the hands are easily cut by stones. Even if you don't need to climb, wear gloves, you can hold the branches, vines and weeds by hand when you are tired. We should know that there are thorns on many branches on the mountain, and the edges of some long weeds are like saws, not to mention pulling with bare hands, that is, "brushing" from the hands when walking is also a bloody mark. Gloves are even more important when going down the mountain. When going down the steep slope, you must hold the weeds and branches around you by hand to balance the center of gravity and control the descending speed. It's hard to imagine not having a pair of good gloves at this time. If you fall down unfortunately when going down the mountain, as long as you wear gloves, you can rest assured that you can reach out and grab something that you can catch, and keep your body steady to avoid rolling down the mountain.

Mountaineering gloves must be strong, especially on the palm side. Some donkey friends wear thread gloves, but these gloves are easily pierced by long thorns, and they are also easily hung by branches. Gloves should not be too big. If they are too big, they will fall off easily. If they fall into bushes and weeds, it will be difficult to find them again.

Mountaineering shoes: Be sure to have a pair of professional hiking shoes! Mountaineering mainly depends on a pair of feet. Unless you have a pair of "leather" iron feet like African natives, you can't live without a pair of good hiking shoes to protect your feet. Travel shoes, sports shoes, etc. don't work at all. Don't be lucky. It was too late to find out that the shoes were not suitable on the mountain road, neither in the upper nor the lower. It hurts to walk one step at a time. On the way down the mountain, it will affect the balance of the body and cause unnecessary danger.

The shoes must be the right size. Because the feet will swell after a long journey, shoes that are too small will squeeze the feet. Too big shoes will cause friction between feet and shoes when walking a long way, and it is easy to grind blisters on the feet. In addition, it is best to wear thicker cotton socks, which can not only absorb sweat, but also make shoes and feet more closely combined. Silk stockings and nylon socks can easily make your feet slip in shoes and sprain your feet, and also make your feet blister easily.

If they are new shoes, be sure to wear them for a few days before climbing, and you'd better wear them for a run. There is a running-in process between new shoes and feet. Try to finish this process before the real climbing. As for whether the shoes are good for low or high, it is recommended to wear medium and high-top shoes, and walk on the mountain road with complicated road conditions. The ankle joint has a wide range of activities, and the medium and high-top shoes can support the ankle joint to a certain extent. Also, the teeth of the soles should not be too deep and strange. First, it's easy to get stuck in the stones, and second, it's easy to get caught by thin vines.

Backpack: Backpack must be selected. There are many posts on how to choose a backpack. I suggest you take a good look before choosing it. If you want to take part in mountaineering activities regularly, don't be afraid of being expensive. Good bags are expensive, but there are reasons why they are expensive. When you buy a bag, you must take pains to find out how to adjust the backpack. No matter how well the backpack is not adjusted, it will cause you great trouble. If you don't have the experience of weight-bearing, you'd better carry your backpack at home for about an hour before you travel. As soon as you carry a few tens of pounds of backpack, you may think it is not heavy and can bear it, but after you carry it for dozens of minutes, your thoughts may be completely different.

Clothes and trousers: The trousers must choose a little quick-drying trousers to prevent them from sticking to the body after sweating. You know, clothes can be changed at will, but changing pants is not so easy. Moreover, ordinary trousers are easily torn by thorns. Never wear jeans. After sweating, jeans will stick to your legs, which is uncomfortable and seriously affects your legs' movements. Don't wear shorts unless it is corrupt or the road is in good condition, in case your legs are injured by grass and branches. The waist of the trousers should be suitable, preferably elastic, or the trousers will fall down because of the flat stomach, which will affect the stride, which is not good. Finally, the bag on the trousers should be zipped, so that even if you fall, you won't lose anything.

Food: You can choose your own food according to the list listed in other posts. Here are a few points to add. If you have experienced cramps or sweating badly, you'd better bring a bottle of salt water. Take two bottles of Gatorade or Grape Suit, "quench thirst more", or dilute it with some water. Don't drink too much water in the process of climbing mountains. Drinking water is easy to make people tired. Pay attention to the boxing match. That's why players only rinse their mouth with water at halftime, and don't swallow it. You can adjust your taste by ordering sauerkraut or pickles. Although mountaineering consumes a lot, I don't particularly want to eat. It would be better to bring more fruit.

Medicine: The most important thing is to make full preparations according to your physical condition. For example, those who are prone to diarrhea should take Baoji Pills or Horn Pills, those who are prone to colds should take cold medicine, etc. Don't think that a day and a half will be fine, you should know that you are prepared.

Up the hill: It's best to warm up and move your joints before going up the hill. If you don't exercise much at ordinary times, this step is even more important. Don't be too fast at first, keep a certain rhythm. Don't breathe in disorder, try to keep pace with the pace of walking. You should allocate your physical strength reasonably for the mountains you have climbed, and you should be reserved for the mountains you have not climbed at the beginning, and don't sprint all out at the beginning, which will make the journey behind you particularly hard. When you are particularly tired, you can count the steps silently. When I can't climb, I will say to myself, "I'll rest after another hundred steps". I really look back after another hundred steps, "Wow, one hundred steps is so far, then walk another hundred steps". Rest as little as possible, especially when you are carrying heavy loads. It's hard to take off your backpack and carry it on. I'd rather climb slowly to the top of the mountain and rest.

Going down the mountain: "Going up the mountain is easier than going down the mountain", you won't agree with this sentence when you start going down the mountain after a short rest at the top of the mountain. But the facts tell us that "if you don't listen to the old people, you will suffer before you see it". When going down the mountain, especially when carrying weight, the impact of the body plus weight is mostly offset by the knee joint, so don't skip down the mountain. At first, you think it's easy and fast, but for one thing, it's easy to fall, and for another thing, it's easy to hurt the knee joint. When the knee joint starts to get soft and sore, you will know how to "get down the mountain, get into the sky".

When going down a steep mountain road, be sure to see where you are staying, and try not to step on loose soil and gravel. Pay attention when pulling weeds and branches around you by hand. Stretch branches with leaves. These branches are tough and not easy to break. Some seemingly strong dead branches are actually traps. In dry weather, these dead branches will break with a little force. Remind your partner behind you when you let go of the branches, so as not to hit each other in the face.

Chinese grass, this grass is only knee high. Walking on a mountain road full of Chinese grass, you can have a wide view, but the road under your feet is completely covered with grass, and sometimes you can't even see your shoes. This kind of road is dangerous for beginners, because it's easy to relax one's guard and stride forward with wide vision, but the vines and stones hidden under the grass will soon make you complain. The most dangerous thing is the pothole on the road. Unfortunately, it is easy to sprain your foot if you step on it. On this road, don't run unless you are sure that the road conditions under the grass are good. When walking, raise your feet properly to avoid tripping.

Long grass, this kind of grass is higher than people. Walking in it, you can only see one or two meters before and after, and you can see the road under your feet. The danger of this kind of grass is that it is surrounded by grass. You don't know whether the roadside is a pit, a slope or something. If a fall happens to be on a slope, the long grass will fall down as soon as it is pressed, and people will roll down. Even if you get up, it is not easy to find the original way. When walking on this road, you should pay attention to walking steadily. If you don't walk steadily, you want to help the long grass around you, only to find that when these grasses touch, they are not stressed at all, and it is too late.

Floating soil, it is easy to have a layer of floating soil on a mountain road with dry weather. It doesn't matter on a flat road, but it is easy to slip if it is uphill or downhill. Pay attention to stepping on small pits on the road or grass roots on the side of the road when going up or down the slope of the floating soil road, so that it is not easy to slip. When going downhill, sit back with your center of gravity. If you slip, you can sit on the ground and slide down, but this is the time to test the wear resistance of your pants.
